Propane: Fueling Summer Fun and Keeping You Warm All Winter Long

Propane: Fueling Summer Fun and Keeping You Warm All Winter Long

Marshall County Co-op and Our Local Oil & Gas Industry Partners

When summer arrives in the Ohio Valley, propane becomes the fuel behind some of our favorite activities. Backyard cookouts, family gatherings, camping trips, and holiday celebrations all seem to revolve around the familiar sound of a grill firing up.

At Marshall County Co-op, we know propane and we know how important it is to our customers. Whether you’re grilling burgers on a summer evening or heating your home during the coldest days of winter, we’re here to provide dependable propane service throughout the year.

More Than Just Grilling Fuel

Most people think of propane as the fuel that powers their gas grill. While that’s certainly an important use, propane serves many other purposes for homeowners, businesses, farmers, industrial customers and our oil and gas community.

For grilling and smaller applications, we fill propane cylinders in several sizes, including:

  • 20-pound cylinders – Perfect for backyard grills and outdoor cooking.
  • 30-pound cylinders – Popular for campers, RVs, and recreational use.
  • 40-pound cylinders – Ideal for larger portable propane needs.
  • 100-pound cylinders – Commonly used for supplemental heating and larger equipment.

Whether you’re preparing for a cookout or getting ready for camping season, we can keep your cylinders filled and ready to go.

Summer Is the Perfect Time to Prepare for Winter

While propane demand for home heating may seem far away during the summer months, this is actually one of the best times to plan ahead.

With the heating season still months away, our team has more flexibility to discuss your propane needs, inspect equipment, and help ensure you’re ready before cold weather arrives. Planning ahead can help avoid the rush that often comes when temperatures begin to drop.

If your home relies on propane for heating, now is the time to talk with us about your fuel supply and tank options.

Reliable Storage Means Reliable Service

Marshall County Co-op maintains significant propane storage capacity to serve customers throughout our region.

Our propane storage facility includes tanks that each hold 30,000 gallons, providing a total storage capacity of 90,000 gallons. We also operate a satellite propane plant located just outside of New Martinsville on West Virginia Route 7. This facility helps us efficiently serve residential, agricultural, commercial, and industrial customers throughout the area.

Having local storage capacity means we can respond quickly to customer needs while maintaining a dependable propane supply.

Propane Tanks for Homes, Farms, and Businesses
