The Month Before Christmas
Twas the month before Christmas and all through the Co-op
All the employees were stirring, and probably some mice too
The stockings were hung, in the offices with care
In hopes that Santa Dave would soon be there
The staff were all nestled, all snug in their departments
While vision of sugar cookies and gifts danced in their heads
They are stocking the shelves, propane being scheduled and delivered
They are getting ready for Christmas and a long cold winter
All at once, out in the yard, there arose such a clatter
The employees ran to the doorway to see what was the matter
Away to the doors, they flew like a flash
Tore open the door and threw up their hands
The sun was shining over the freshly fallen snow
They wondered who just showed, with a sleigh in tow
When what to their wondering eyes should appear
A full-size sleigh and eight full size reindeer
With a little old driver, so ready to rave.
They know in a minute in must be Santa Dave
More rapid that eagles his course they came
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name
On Linda, On Amy, On Dave and Jackie
On Ruby, On Karen, on Beth On Susie!
On Bo, On Steve, on Thad, On Mike, On Jay,
On Hunter, on Sam on Rob, On Daniel,
On Austin, On Joel On Brandon
We’re heading to the main entrance of the Co-op.
dash away now! dash away now!
They all entered with happiness in their eyes.
Where they found all kinds of presents, something for all
They grabbed snow salt and shovels, candles and puzzles too
They crammed them in their sleigh, with Santa Dave too
But more was needed, to fill up the sleigh
They found candles and tools, body soaps and lotions.
Outside décor, dog and cat toys, stocking stuffers and more
Along with building kits for kids, along with so much more
They found bird feeders galore, and bird feed too
Wood stove pellets, dog food, animal feed and more
There were lots of fasteners, animal food and seeds
The cutest cards ever, gloves, mittens and more
There’s just so much you can find in this store,
A perfect place to shop during the winter and more
You can come in and browse, look all over the aisles
We guarantee you will find something, in our co-op store.
SO, Santa Dave was happy, but he spoke not a word
He filled all the employees’ stockings then turned with a jerk
And laying his finger aside of his nose
And gave a big nod, out the front door he goes!
He ran to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle.
And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle
We all hear him exclaim, as he drove out of sight
Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!
