When I think of November, I not only think of Pumpkins, turkey dinners and Black Friday, I also think of how thankful I am.
Let’s face it. This year has been rough.
We are down to the last two months of this year, and all I can hope and pray for is that 2021 is a little kinder to us all. We have suffered through the COVID 19 pandemic and all the things associated with it (masks, businesses’ closing, children trying to just go to school to learn and so much more), terrible fires, hurricanes and flooding. And much more just too numerous to name.
But in light of it all, one has to be thankful for what one does have. Your health? Your children are healthy? You have a roof over your head? You have a job? Yes, a lot of us have had a lot of personal tragedies and issues this year, there is no doubt. But some way, somehow, we do overcome. And for that, one must be thankful.
One of the things I am thankful for is propane. It keeps our homes and offices warm. It is the go-to energy source for our oil and gas workers living in their campers. It is an approved clean fuel listed in the 1990 Clean Air Act. Substituting propane for other fuels such as gasoline and fuel oil is an economical and viable step toward cleaner air. Propane is also abundant.
Our great county produces more than enough propane to meet demand. In fact, the U.S. is propane’s leading producer. Propane is an abundant “bridge fuel,” making it a clean-burning alternative to gasoline and diesel that can address energy challenges while long-term renewable technologies are developed. It is also affordable. Give us a call at the Co-Op and let us tell you more! We are your propane headquarters!
Another thankful item: snow salt. Yes, the “s” word is right around the corner, and one simply can’t survive without snow salt. Snow salt is used to make walking and driving much easier, allowing us to not fall or worse yet, slide our vehicles into another vehicle. Call or stop by to get yours now so you will be ready for when the S word arrives……. You will also find other snow related items at the Co-Op too, like snow shovels.
TO SUMMARIZE THINGS, take a minute now and just think about what you have to be thankful for. Probably more things than you thought. We at the Co-Op are thankful for you, our loyal customers. Without you purchasing from us throughout the year, we would not be in business. And for that, we are thankful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and blessings to you all.
